Duluth Senior Employment Programs

Participation in our program enhances employment opportunities for older Americans and promotes them as a solution for businesses seeking trained, qualified, and reliable employees. Older workers are a valuable resource for the 21st century workforce, and SCSEP Duluth Senior Employment is committed to providing high-quality job training and employment assistance to participants.

Put Your Time and Talents to Work

Find out how you can benefit from the Senior Employment Program:

• Paid Training - participants earn Minimum Wage and work 20 hours a week at non-profit or governmental agencies.
• Work Experience - you gain valuable work experience on your assignment.
• Extra Income - the money you earn can help during tough economic times or to supplement your already existing income.

Serving Communities

Senior Employment Program participants serve their communities while gaining valuable on-the-job training through paid temporary assignments at local non-profit and government organizations, including:

• Schools,
• Libraries,
• Social service agencies,
• Hospitals,
• Senior centers,
• Museums, or
• Government Agencies.

Securing Employment

The Senior Employment Program helps older workers build the experience and confidence they need to find permanent employment .

You may qualify if you are:

• 55 or older,
• Income eligible,
• A resident of Duluth, and
• Unemployed.

Veterans and their spouses are encouraged to apply.
